Exploring the link between British Columbia's diverse nature and the people who live here is often the theme of Dorothy's work in pen and ink, watercolour and guache. Born in the Prairies, Dorothy has lived in various locations across Canada and internationally. She has always been drawn to the architecture, flowers and scenary of the locale she is in.
Wherever her travels and career took her, Dorothy built on her life-long dream of finding a way to capture the beauty of the world around her. Studying with various local artists, Dorothy has found a home in the busy local art community, which offers many opportunities to develop her gift.
Dorothy has been showing her work since 1999 and thrives on the joy her work brings both to herself and others. The artist lives in Langford and her work can be found in many locations throughout Victoria and Vancouver area.
